I crossed a cold river hearing her brother,
Bat's footsteps behind.I turned around and
looked at her brother in the eyes,"
Why are you following me?"
He sighed," I just wanted to know
why are you leaving.""You
guys trained me to fight for myself-thank you-
but now I have to live my own life." I said
as calmly as I could. He nodded and said
back," Ulu, I know that's the
truth and that's what we will do too but
this might be the last time you see me.
I'll be living my life as well."
Tears started to form but I pushed
them back," You meant
well brother. I hope I see you again
." With that I heading on walking
in the river and my brother Bat walking
south,but not toward my brothers. Again.
I sighed and sat on the shore of the river.
Tears dropped and I started to talk to
myself for comfort," Bat,Keri
,Shingo,Aizik...you were amazing brothers.
You trained me to be strong. You helped me
through the tough times. Now I miss you
when I must be strong." I wiped
the tears from my face and walked on.
What future lies ahead for me? What will
I gain? Maybe a pack? Maybe a mate?
I walked into an unknown forest. I sniffed
the air and caught an unknown smell.
I walked toward it and heard a strong
voice before I could see the stranger
," What are you doing
in my forest?" I shivered
and stood in wounder of who it is.
